Prof. Ștefan Vîlvoi – violin

Prof. Stefan Vilvoi studied the violin in the class of Prof. Liviu Mitrică and in the class of Prof. Petru Lupan. He has given numerous concerts as a soloist in Romania, Sweden, France, Italy, Germany.

He won numerous national awards at specialized competitions (violin and music theory) – National Performance Competition „W.A. Mozart” (Targoviste), National Competition „Garabet Avakian” (Bucharest), National Competition „Spring of Arts” (Bacau) etc. .

STUDIEs

Prof. Stefan Vilvoi is a graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest where he studied violin in the class of Prof. Dr. Adrian Buliga, Prof. Dr. Iunia Frandeș, Prof. Dr. Marcel Frandes and chamber music with Lect. Univ. Dr. Oana Spânu-Vișenescu.

In 2008, Prof. Ștefan Vîlvoi – violin, participated in Orchestra Masterclass courses of the renowned conductor Sir Neville Marriner under the guidance of the Vienna Philharmonic instrumentalists (Erich Schagerl – violin), and a year later in the Masterclass courses of Prof. Christian Altenburger, Vienna.

ARTISTIC ACTIVITY

He is currently a member of the Youth Orchestra of Sibiu (First Prize at the Festival of Youth Orchestras of Hamburg-Germany) and collaborates with the philharmonic orchestras of Râmnicu Vâlcea, Târgoviște, Pitești and Ploiești.

Since 2009 he is a permanent collaborator of the „Philarmonia” Chamber Orchestra of the „Romanian Youth” National Art Center.

Since 2014 he is an instrumental artist of the „Muntenia” Symphony Orchestra.

He is a founding member of the chamber ensemble Ambiental String Quartet and a member of the “Muntenia” Quartet of the Dâmbovița County Culture Center, with which he gives numerous recitals on the stages of the country.

Between 2015 and 2019 he was a permanent collaborator in the orchestra of the National Opera and Musical Theater „Ion Dacian”.

PEDAGOGICAL ACTIVITY

Between 2012-2014, he was a professor of music education at the German Goethe College.

Starting with 2014, he is a teacher of the Gymnasium School of Arts no. 5 from Bucharest, and starting with 2020 teacher at the „Harmony of Arts” School of Music in Bucharest.
