The International Visual Arts Competition is aimed at children, young people and adults with artistic interests, as follows:

Group I – children aged 5 to 9 years

Group II – children aged 10 to 14 years

Group III – young people aged between 15 and 19 years

Group IV – young people over the age of 20 (no upper limit)

THEME OF the Visual Arts Competition:

The theme of the contest is Still Life (Static nature). Send us the clearest picture of the work to be judged. We look forward to seeing your work!

Each contestant will send a very clear photo of their work.

For painting or graphics, the work must be done on paper / canvas, using one of the following techniques: pencil, charcoal, ink and pen, pastel, colored pencils, collage, watercolor, acrylic, tempera, oil or mixed media.

For modeling / sculpture, the work can be made of clay, wood, marble, etc.

The photo must be sent, together with Annex 1, completed and scanned, as well as the proof of payment of the competition fee, to the e-mail address: The email must include the title of the work, the technique and the medium used.


Pictures must be clear, 300 dpi.

For modeling / sculpture, the work must be photographed from 3-4 angles (all around, natural light).


  • The artistic and creative values of the work;
  • Authenticity and originality of creation, the degree of artistic complexity;
  • Particularities of a compositional and technical nature of creation;
  • The impact of the transmitted message, its instructive-educational value;
  • Adherence to the specific techniques of each section.


Article 1 – General conditions

1.1 The participants in this contest are obliged to comply with the terms written in the Rules & Regulations of The International Visual Arts Competition of the Festival 4 Arts, Edition III, June 26th – 30th, 2022, registration deadline June 25th, 2022.

Article 2 – Conditions for participation in the International Visual Arts Competition

2.1 It is forbidden for the competitors to send works for which they do not hold copyrights according to Law no. 8/1996 with subsequent amendments and completions on copyright and related rights. In this regard, participants are responsible for the authenticity and originality of the work.

2.2 The Organizer will not consider the works that violate, in any way, the Copyright Law or other Romanian laws in force on the date of the Contest.

2.3 The works sent in the conditions of the present Rules & Regulation of The International Visual Arts Competition of the Festival 4 Arts, 3rd Edition, will be accompanied, compulsory by Annex 1 – Registration coupon completed, dated and signed. By signing it, the competitor / guardian acknowledges and agrees with Annex 2 – PUBLICATION RIGHT AGREEMENT and Annex 3 – Parental agreement to participate in the contest for minor participants;

2.4 Annex 1 will be transmitted together with the works, at the email address: Failure to comply with this mandatory requirement, as well as some omissions in the form, will lead to automatic disqualification;

2.5 Competitors will send the works having read the “PUBLICATION RIGHT AGREEMENT”;

2.6 The works and Annex1 – Registration form – will be sent only in electronic format at the email address: The message’s subject will be: name, surname, section, and the age group in which the competitor participates (example: Smith John – Painting, Group I).

2.7 Competitors must pay the fee of:

a. 18 euros if the registration is made until June 01, 2022;

b. 25 euros if the registration is made between June 02 – 17, 2022;

c. 33 euros if the registration is made between June 18 – 30, 2022.

By ”registration” we mean the submission of works together (at the same time) with Annex 1 and proof of payment of the fee.

The participation fee will be paid by bank transfer to the account of Best Bridge Services SRL opened at ING Bank, Bucharest, IBAN: RO22INGB0000999903782351, CUI: 7524371, RO22INGB0000999903782351 (SWIFT Code: INGBROBU). The payment order must include: Participant’s Name, Section and Age Group.

Participation fee

For participants abroad, it is easier to pay the participation fee through PayPal. The fee is not refundable. Participants can apply for more sections paying the tax for each.

Proof of payment of the participation fee and the works are sent by email at, at the same time as the completed Annex 1.

2.8 Competitors may participate in more than one section, with the payment of cumulated fees, where there is a discount of 2 euros for the second and more sections (first one has the entire value).

Article 3 – Competition period

3.1 The 3rd Edition of The International Visual Arts Competition  of the Festival 4 Arts takes place according to the following calendar:

a) May 05 – June 25, 2022 – Registration of competitors, receipt and evaluation of works. The works will be sent only during the registration period for the competition, namely starting with May 05, 2022 and no later than June 25, 2022, at 23:59;

b) June 26 – 29, 2022 – Publication of all works on the festival website and the specific article on Facebook for obtaining the public vote, and the judging by the Jury, for each section and age group. The Jury will not be influenced by the public vote;

c) June 30, 2022 – Winners announcement.

3.2 The competition period, respectively all the dates mentioned above, may be modified, the organizers of the competition having the obligation to announce in advance on the aforementioned web page any possible changes in the competition regulations.

Article 4 – The Jury of the International Visual Arts Competition

Prof. May Oana Isar (Președinte Juriu), artista Maria Poștea, artista Smaranda Isar.

The biographies of the jury members can be found on the festival website.

The jury will determine, based on a score, the winners of the prizes for each section and age group. The decisions of the Jury are unique and final, no appeals are allowed.

Article 5 – Prizes of the The International Visual Arts Competition

5.1 All participants in the contest will receive participation diplomas submitted online upon request. Depending on the number and value of pupils/students in the contest, their mentors will be awarded a Diploma of Excellence.

5.2 Each section may obtain a ”Grand Prize”, depending on the appreciation of the Jury. Each age group of each section will be awarded the First Prize, the Second Prize, the Third Prize and Mentions.

The prizes will consist of:

  • money (Grand Prize);
  • promotion on Facebook;
  • inviting the winners to exhibit their works at the ”Geo Bogza” House of Culture in Câmpina, Romania, within a group exhibition. Expenses for transport, accommodation and meals for participation in exhibitions are not reimbursed.
  • Depending on the interest and availability of the winners, the prizes may also include discounts on the participation fee for the Visual Arts Masterclass organized between July 4-9 with the artist and professor Maria Postea.
  • All winners are invited to register for a Zoom interview in which they can make public their future achievements and projects. The interview will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Festival (

The number of prizes will be decided by the Jury, depending on the artistic value of the competitors.

5.3 All the data mentioned above can be modified, the contest organizers having the obligation to announce in advance on the festival website any possible changes in the contest rules.
