Creative Writing Masterclass– Writer and journalist Florin Dochia July 14-19
Now in its 7th edition and widely acclaimed, the Creative Writing Masterclass is designed to unlock your creativity, spark new connections between ideas, and elevate your use of language in ways you never imagined. It’s a true workout for the mind—helping you become a writer with broader perspectives, richer ideas, and a more fluid, confident writing style.
Led by the experienced writer and educator Florin Dochia, this masterclass combines high-level creativity with professional insight, offering an inspiring and transformative learning experience.
The program runs daily in the morning (4 hours/day) and culminates in a Poetry and Prose Recital held on the stage of the “Antim Ivireanu” Snagov Culture House. Following the event, participants’ works will be published in literary magazines curated by the master himself.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Harp Masterclass – Prof. Dr. Miruna-Elena Vidican July 14-19
The harp—a rare and exceptionally valuable celestial instrument—has the power to draw large audiences to concert halls, captivated by its ethereal sound. Prof. Dr. Miruna-Elena Vidican brings with her an impressive background in both performance and teaching. Her students consistently achieve outstanding results in national and international competitions, go on to study at prestigious institutions abroad, and join renowned philharmonic orchestras worldwide.
Depending on the number of participants and your individual dedication, you may benefit from more than one hour of daily instruction under her expert guidance.
You will also take part in at least one group recital on Friday, July 18. Additionally, those interested will have the opportunity to perform in the Festival 4 Arts Orchestra, in the productions of „The Abduction from the Seraglio” and „Suor Angelica.”
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Double Bass Masterclass – Prof. Arthur Popescu (Elveția) July 14-19
Though still very young, Arthur Popescu has studied double bass performance with renowned masters from across the globe—from Cyprus and Switzerland to the United States. Among his mentors is the distinguished Cătălin Rotaru, whose artistry and masterclasses we’ve had the privilege of experiencing in recent years. Arthur has already performed on prestigious European stages, both as a soloist and as part of various orchestras.
Depending on the number of participants and your individual level of commitment, you may receive more than one hour of personalized instruction per day under his expert guidance.
You will also take part in at least one group recital on Friday, July 18. In addition, those who are interested can join the Festival 4 Arts Orchestra in the operatic productions of „The Abduction from the Seraglio” and „Suor Angelica.”
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Visual Arts Course & Masterclass – Bogdan Gărgăriță & Maria Poștea July 21-26 iulie
Offered at every edition of the festival, this Masterclass has consistently been a great success. Held in the open air, the courses invite all participants to explore or refine various artistic techniques while nurturing their creativity in a relaxed and inspiring environment.
Led by two experienced artists and educators, Bogdan Gărgăriță and Maria Poștea, the program is guided by a wealth of artistic and pedagogical knowledge. Both have held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, earning recognition through national and international awards. They are also the creators of the collector’s album series “Detaliul”, a project that brings to life, through illustration, architecturally and historically valuable buildings often overlooked by authorities.
Participants will engage in clay modeling, watercolor painting, drawing, and graphic techniques. By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with new skills, artistic knowledge, and a renewed sense of joy and creative inspiration.
On Friday, July 25, your artworks will be showcased in a group vernissage in the foyer of the “Antim Ivireanu” Cultural Center. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation.
You’re welcome to bring your own tools, easels, and materials. We will provide most instruments and art supplies—except easels.

Classical and Folk Guitar Course – Emil Filipescu July 21-26
At just 24 years old, guitarist Emil Filipescu impresses with his remarkable talent and musical education. With a rich artistic and teaching career, he has trained under the guidance of renowned guitarists from Romania and abroad. He has won numerous awards in over 70 national and international competitions and has participated in prestigious music camps such as IconArts Transylvania and the Sighișoara Music Academy. He has worked with renowned artists including Tudor Niculescu-Mizil, Cătălin Ștefănescu-Pătrașcu, Maxim Belciug, Ruben Parejo, Andras Csaki, Reinbert Evers, Marcin Dylla, and Remi Jousselme. Through an Erasmus scholarship, he studied at the „Joaquin Rodrigo” Conservatory in Valencia, in Professor Ruben Parejo’s class. With over four years of teaching experience, he has successfully trained many talented and passionate young musicians.
You will have the opportunity to learn to perform different musical genres and enjoy outdoor classes at Casa Alex Guesthouse. Depending on the number of participants and your level of involvement, you may benefit from more than one hour of daily training under the teacher’s guidance.
You will perform at least one group recital on Friday, July 25.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Singspiel in three acts
As part of the Festival 4 Arts program, we are pleased to announce the organization of an Opera Masterclass dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s celebrated work, Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio), a Singspiel in three acts that masterfully combines vocal virtuosity with theatrical expression.
The performance will feature the original music sung in German, while the spoken dialogues will be performed in Romanian, in keeping with the tradition of accessible and contextually adapted opera productions.
This masterclass provides a rare opportunity for young singers and actors to work under professional guidance in a fully staged opera setting. Participants will receive vocal coaching, dramatic training, language and diction support, and ensemble work throughout the program.

Opera Masterclass
Giacomo Puccini – Suor Angelica
As part of the Festival 4 Arts opera program, we are honored to present a Masterclass and partially staged production of Suor Angelica, a deeply emotional one-act opera by Giacomo Puccini, renowned for its spiritual depth and poignant musicality.
Set in a cloistered convent, Suor Angelica explores themes of loss, redemption, and divine grace, brought to life through an all-female cast and Puccini’s sublime score. This masterclass offers singers the rare opportunity to embody complex characters and navigate the nuanced vocal and dramatic challenges of verismo opera.
The performance will take place in the evocative setting of the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in Snagov, enhancing the atmosphere of sacred contemplation and introspection essential to the opera’s world.

This masterclass is designed for advanced vocal students and young professionals seeking to deepen their operatic interpretation within a sacred and immersive environment. Participants will receive coaching in vocal technique, character work, and Italian diction, culminating in a fully staged public performance.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
For lead roles, applicants must know the role they are applying for by heart, well-studied.
We will make a selection – send a video of you performing a musical piece for the singing roles, or a poem or theater fragment for the speaking roles, by email to festivaluldearte@gmail.com.

Registration for Masterclasses 2025
To register for the desired course within the Festival 4 Arts – Masterclasses, participants must:
- choose the desired teacher;
- fill out the online form;
- pay the fee for the requested course by bank transfer to the Best Bridge Services SRL account opened at ING Bank, Bucharest, IBAN: RO22INGB0000999903782351 (SWIFT Code: INGBROBU), CUI: 7524371 – money received in RON. The payment order must mention: Student’s Name and Section.

Registration is made when the full amount for the requested services has been paid. The fee is returned only if the course is no longer held due to too few enrollments for the requested teacher. For payment of the fee by May 1, a discount of 40 Euro is granted.
The course fee includes:
- Lessons, mentoring and coaching, theoretical courses and participation in recitals and concerts;
- Accompanists;
- Use of study facilities and recitals/concerts/performances/openings;
- Participation certificate;
- Free entry to all Masterclasses Arts Festival events;
- Photos/filming.
Accommodation and meals
For those who request accommodation and food, the costs are separate. We can provide accommodation and meals at the Casa Alex Snagov Complex, where the teachers are accommodated, for 42 Euro/person/day (accommodation and 3 meals/day).
The guesthouse offers us a swimming pool, tennis court, football court, ping-pong tables, billiards, and generous space, including classrooms.
