       It will be forever.

Rayn and Lyra have found themselves in a forest. As they were walking, Lyra asks: "Why did you bring me here? It's 1 AM!" she complained. "The Ancient tree.. Its calling me. I cant leave it alone!" Rayn answered, Lyra sighed. As they approached the tree, a soft glow emitted from it. "Something is wrong here.. the moon light is off.." Lyra muttered as she pointed it out, Rayn nodded and placed her hand on the tree. "THE HEARTWOOD!" she said, starting to worry. "It's running out of energy.." "But, isn't the heartwood's energy based off of how strong the ancients pact is?" Lyra asked and Rayn nodded in return. "The ancients pact is dying, we must find out what's happening! Lets go, Lyra!" Rayn yelled and Lyra shapeshifted into her fox form and ran to the ancients tower, Rayn following and flying after Lyra. And so, their adventure started. As they reached the ancients tower, they saw chaos. The most hardworking ancient was lying down, sleeping instead of helping with the chaos with the other ancients, and even if she woke up, she didn't care! The most ascetic one was stealing money, not trying to help! The kindest was yelling, destroying and even made the most selfless ancient cry! but not for a long time because they looked in a mirror and took pride in what they looked like! The ancients had changed, they had become their own nightmare, the thing they worked so hard to beat, they were the opposite of what they once used to be! Lyra and Rayn were shocked, they covered their mouths and stared at the ancients as they argued, well, except the lazy one of course. Until, they saw what was the final straw; the "Kindest" hit the now lazy ancient. Lyra and Rayn looked at each other and nodded, they ran inside the tower and as they tried to climb the stairs, the floor collapsed and they fell into a basement. They were stuck there, no way to escape.. Until. The ancients walked in and pressed a button on their remote, then both Lyra and Rayn got chained down. Chains wrapped around their wrists and ankles. Rayn fell to her knees but Lyra stood her ground. Suddenly, Lyra was grabbed and thrown into a cage, not able to see Rayn anymore. She yelled out as the ancients left, meanwhile Rayn froze; how could someone so kind be so evil? Lyra's yells for Rayn got more desperate, worried that something might've happened to her, but Rayn didn't answer, instead, she used magic to unlock Lyra's cage. Lyra ran over and checked if Rayn was okay, and she thankfully was. Lyra helped Rayn out of her chains and climbed up, Rayn flying after her. The ancients came back and noticed they escaped. It wasn't hard to find the duo, it was almost immediately. As they saw Rayn first, they shot her. Lyra looked back and fainted, when she woke up, she was in a cage once again. She was stuck there for years, meanwhile Rayn? no one knows; not even Lyra. Soe say she'll come back for revenge.. but who knows.
