Snail Stories
Nava and Her Friends Save a Snail
Nava is a sweet and very smart little girl. She loves playing with her favorite classmates. Every day, they enjoy fun and exciting games and activities, both in the classroom and out in the schoolyard.
One day, during the big recess, while they’re walking around the yard, Nava and her friends discover a tiny snail. It’s just a baby—and it has lost its shell.
Nava and her friends are very worried. They decide to find the little snail’s shell and return its home. The children begin searching all around. They check in the bushes, look through the shrubs, and even peek under the rocks. But they just can’t find the snail’s little house.
The children ask one another, “What do we do now?” One child shouts, “Let’s keep looking!” Another replies, “But recess is almost over, and we need to go back to class.” A third asks anxiously, “What will happen to the snail?”
As they’re still wondering what to do, the bell rings, and the kids start heading back to class, disappointed. Just then, Nava spots something tiny and white out of the corner of her eye. She bends down and picks it up. Looking closely, she realizes—surprise!—it’s the snail’s shell!
Nava shouts joyfully, “Friends, I found the shell! I found the snail’s shell!”
The children rush over, laughing with excitement and gently touching the shell. Nava holds it carefully in her open palm. Together, they return to the little snail and place the white shell beside it.
Everyone watches with delight as the snail slowly slides over and slips back into its lost home. It snuggles in cozily and warmly. Now, it’s no longer cold or unprotected.
The children head back to the classroom, their hearts full of happiness. Nava and her friends are overjoyed—they saved the little snail!
