Daisies smell like love

I put daisies in my hair,
White, sweet, full of liberty, flowers.
Heard you say they are your favorite,
And I wanted to be your favorite,
So, I put daisies in my hair.

I put daisies in my hair,
Picked them from the field we sat in
We laughed and watched the sunset.
You said they are your favorite,
So, I put daisies in my hair.

I put daisies in my hair
As the sweet, summer sun ran away from the sky.
You were my sunshine for the night,
Hold me close as it passes by,
As the daisies from my hair die.

I took the daisies out my hair.
As stars appeared joyfully sparkling
I saw you next to me and suddenly knew,
I didn’t need daisies,
Because now I have you.

Word by Word

Is there enough time in this game called life
To write, learn and read everything
To live all emotions, feelings,
To go through every experience?

Just look at the city
Look at its lights shining in the darkness
All its history covering it
I could write about it till morning light

Music, how I wish to write about music
The sound that makes two hearts
Beat as one, one rhythm
One feeling, one song

Just look at my young years!
How they are passing me by
Wish to write all about my friends
Having the time of our lives

Also my parents
How I see the signs of age
Watching them grow old and happy
While passing each day.

Oh and wish I write about nature
And the mysteries it holds
Because who’s better at writing
Than the mother of us all

Still, what’s the point of it all,
If none can learn
All the secrets
The world holds?

Write every word there is
Sings all the rhymes you can sing
Talk all the conversations worth having
Mess around and find jokes funny

I’ll find my own peace one day
In a place far away
Write sing and learn the world
Word by word.
