Visual Arts Masterclass 2026: Improve Your Creative Skills

Visual Arts Masterclass 2026: Improve Your Creative Skills

This Masterclass has been featured at every edition of the festival and has enjoyed consistent success. The classes take place outdoors and offer all participants the opportunity to learn or refine various artistic techniques in a relaxing and inspirational setting. They also encourage creativity and free expression.

It is coordinated by two artists with extensive pedagogical and artistic experience, Bogdan Gărgăriță and Maria Poștea. The program is based on a solid professional path. Both have held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad and have been distinguished with awards at national and international competitions. They are also the authors of the Detaliul collection of art albums, through which illustrators bring to life buildings of architectural and historical value that are often overlooked by authorities. More details about their albums and books at https://www.edituraintaglio.com/en.

Themes proposed by the two artists include:

  • Acrylic painting on canvas — portrait reproduction after the great masters
  • Mixed-media graphic techniques — study of objects and textures
  • Study from images of animals in ink and pen

At the end of the course, you will go home with new artistic knowledge and skills, much joy in your heart, and heightened creativity.

The course begins on Friday, August 14, at 3:00 PM and ends on the evening of August 20 after the vernissage. Daily classes take place in the morning and/or afternoon, with 3–4 hours per day, depending on each participant’s availability and passion.

On Thursday, August 20, the works created will be exhibited in a group vernissage in the foyer of the “Antim Ivireanu” House of Culture. All participants will receive a participation diploma.

You can bring your own tools, easels, and materials. Most of the materials and tools needed will be provided — with the exception of easels.
