Miruna-Elena Vidican – harp

Prof. Drd. Miruna-Elena Vidican – harp – is a member of the Jury in the Music Contest – Bass String Instruments of the Festival 4 Arts.

Studies and Professional activity

Born in Bucharest on May 27, 1983, she began studying the harp at the age of 11 at the “George Enescu” National College of Music in Bucharest, in the class of Prof. Sorana Rus and Ioana Brustur. She finished her studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest under the guidance of professors Ioana Nicolescu and Ion Ivan Roncea. She is currently a harp teacher at the “George Enescu” National College of Music, PhD student at the National University of Music in Bucharest in the class of Prof. Dr. Şerban Dimitrie Soreanu, collaborator of the “Ion Dacian” Operetta Theater and member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra.

She has given numerous concerts and recitals, both in the country and abroad, including: the Romanian Athenaeum, the Sibiu Philharmonic, the Piteşti Philharmonic, the Târgu-Mureș Philharmonic, the “George Enescu” Museum, the Suțu Palace, Hoch Schule fur musik – Munich, SZTE Hall – Szeged, Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Villa Medici Giulini, Karole Kastel, University of Pitești, Mogoșoaia Palace.

Awards

She has won numerous awards, including: First Prize at the Music Olympics between 1998 and 2001, First Prize at the International Competition “Remember Enescu”, First Prize – National Competition “Garabet Avachian”, First Prize – International Competition “Eugen Coca” , Grand Prize – International Competition “Martian Negrea”, Prize 3 – Franz Iosef Reinl Stiftung – Munich, semifinalist at Szeged Harp Competition, Prize 3 – International Competition “Suoni D’arpa” Saluzzo, Prize 2 – International Competition “Marcel Tournier” Cosenza , Italy.

She has participated in masterclasses given by renowned harpists such as: Fabrice Pierre, Sylvain Blassel, Florance Sitruk, Ieuan Jones, Emanuella Degli Esposti, Maria Luisa Rayan Forero, Oscar Da Campo, Denitza Dimitrova, Maria Bîldea.

Member of Juries

She was invited as a member of the jury of the National Specialized Competitions: “Erich Bergel”, “Timotei Popovici”, “Young Talents”, “Dan Cumpătă”, “Iosif Sava”, “Victor Giuleanu”, “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart”, National Olympics of music.

TV shows

She participated in shows of the Romanian Broadcasting made by Rodica Sava, Olivia Sima, Magdalena Tara in the show “Journey around the world”, on Cosmos TV and TVR Cultural.
