Beautiful Things
Why are there so many beautiful things in life that I can’t see?
Like you, just standing there, listening to me.
Down by the river full of untold stories
Which for us will remain only unspoken glories.
And why is time hurrying up so much?
Like he can’t see I have nowhere to run…
I grow old as my shadow’s wider;
I do get old, thus will I be wiser?
It’s getting late, the sun’s at set,
‘We should get going, I consent’
Before you leave, an answer to me please…
Why can’t I always see these beautiful things?
DESTINY
Do you hear the river coming from the West
Endowing us with water when we are at rest and
Stealing our senses when we feel we're lost?
Today we need tomorrow to pay our on-cost.
Ideally, we wait, just gazing at the dusk and dawn,
Not knowing when or which or what is still planned here to come.
Yet we're small, we surely know; to get that far, must start from low.
Who Are You
You always come, and always go,
Always too fast for me to know
Who was here, if ever were
Who are you, I never know.
Felt like sparks above the water
Almost ready to catch fire
Left with scars over my gast
I might be wet, but they are drier
Who are you, I never know
Who was here, if ever were
Always too fast for me to know
You always come, and always go.
