
The direct descendant of the composer, folklorist and musicologist SABIN V. DRĂGOI (1894 – 1968), the pianist and professor Horia Sabin Drăgoi performed a rich concert, pedagogical, educational and managerial activity, achieving outstanding results as a pianist, professor and director, a great work record for the past three decades.
He had a sustained and rich piano activity in many cultural and musical events organized and carried out by renowned cultural institutions of the country, being awarded several prestigious national and international piano competitions, present in live concerts and recitals, as well as author, as a soloist, of numerous recordings in CARDEX – SRR.
Graduate of numerous accredited continuous learning courses in the educational and managerial field, author and coauthor of several framework plans of the national curriculum of Romanian vocational education, accredited and applied by the Ministry of National Education, professor Horia Sabin Drăgoi has coordinated numerous musical-cultural and educational, national and international projects, constantly pursuing and supporting the assertion of young musicians, the identification of modern and performing educational alternatives for the deepening of the instructive-educational methods for the musical vocational schools.
It has also published innovative articles in the specialized media (music and education), being an active presence in many live radio and TV shows. President and member of numerous national and international festivals and national and international piano and music competitions held over the past 20 years, professor Horia Sabin Drăgoi was invited to Rome – Italy, in September 2017, as Romania’s representative, to give a lecture on Vocational-Musical Education in the International Conference “Integration of Youth through Music Pedagogy”.
